Welcome to my world...
I am originally from the surrounding suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina. Losing my father at an early age, I used writing as a way to express my emotions. With the love and encouragement of my mother, I joined my first school newspaper staff in the fifth grade, and last in my senior year of high school. At the time, I considered writing as a personal and sacred way of self-expression, so I decided not to pursue a career in journalism. I attended and obtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in African-American Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
